Our Team

Elaine has dedicated her career to fostering flexible learning environments and supporting change through education. With 9 years of experience as an adult educator, she has worked extensively with staff, students, and faculty. In her most recent work, she provided tailored education for respondents. In this role, she was able to interrupt harm with individuals as well as groups. Elaine facilitated many group trainings and looked for ways to incorporate MCVP research and projects. Elaine is a MCVP Research Associate and provides input on Title IX and Clery from a practitioner perspective. Outside of work, Elaine loves to spend time in nature. She loves paddle boarding, biking, and flower picking!

Allie Moore is the center's Education Coordinator. Allie has been with the center since it began, first as an undergraduate student staff member and later as a graduate assistant. She has recently completed her Master’s in Public Administration at the University of Utah and has begun working full-time at the center. In her free time, Allie shreds the slopes and loves to cuddle up with a fantasy novel and a cup of peppermint tea.

Stacy previously worked as the executive director for the Guild for Structural Integration, a non-profit school that teaches the Rolf method of bodywork. She has a strong background of experience and expertise in education, classroom management and school administration. Stacy has more than 10 years of formal teaching experience, having worked as an elementary school educator in public and private school settings in Georgia, Utah (Park City) and Washington.

Olivia is a recent graduate of the University of Utah with her M.A. in Health Communication with a focus on Critical Disability and Race Studies, along with Community-Engaged Methods. During her program, she had the privilege of assisting in cancer prevention research with the Huntsman Cancer Institute. Olivia has a professional background in supporting Deaf victim-survivors through domestic violence nonprofits in Minnesota. Olivia maintains her passion for education through teaching undergraduate Communication courses at the U. In her free time, she delights in indulging in the natural beauty of Utah's wilderness and discovering more about the culture and history of the Salt Lake area!

Jilly is the Program Assistant at the Center. She recently graduated from the University of Utah with an Honors Bachelor of Arts in Health, Society, and Policy and minors in Strategic Communication, Psychology, and Spanish. Throughout her four years as an undergraduate, Jilly worked as a student staff member at the MCVP, where she discovered her passion for ending violence and promoting meaningful lives through communication and education. Outside of work, Jilly enjoys spending time in the gym or sauna, journaling, exploring the mountains, and being with her family, friends, and two dogs—whom she considers her best friends. She hopes to never stop learning and trying new things.

Nadeeka is a research associate in the Center. In her research, she employs power-conscious frameworks to understand issues of sexual violence, focusing on interrupting harm and promoting healing for minoritized survivors. Nadeeka's background in student affairs, specifically her work in campus cultural centers and with university violence prevention efforts, influences her scholarship. She works with college students and staff across the country to infuse intersectional, healing-centered approaches into their work. She teaches courses in student affairs administration, sexual violence, spirituality, and college counseling. Nadeeka is a trauma-informed yoga instructor and enjoys cultivating her own yoga practice, traveling, and trying new restaurants.

Tillie Powell is the center’s graduate assistant. After involvement with the center as a freshman, Tillie joined the team as undergraduate student staff in fall 2022, while working toward her bachelor's degree in health and kinesiology with an emphasis in community health education. She is currently pursuing her Master of Social Work. When not at work or school, you can find Tillie at the park, reading, journaling, or spending time in her community!

Ava Conti Student staff member Ava is a first-year Communications major from Pasadena, CA. She enjoys reading and the outdoors, and loves animals. Ava is excited to continue her learning at the MCVP.

Becca is a junior at the University of Utah, studying psychology and conducting research in human development. She is an avid outdoors enthusiast, and when she’s not skiing, she can be found mountaineering, surfing, or finding any other excuse to spend time in nature. Becca is passionate about seeing justice and compassion become intertwined concepts in our culture, and she is excited to continue educating herself and others on the important issues addressed at the MVCP.

Elle is a second-year student at the University of Utah, originally from Southern California. She typically spends her free nights crafting, reading, and spending time with loved ones when she’s not busy with lab reports. As a medical laboratory science major, her gravitation towards sexual violence prevention stems from her dual passions for health and social justice through artistic expression.

Kaley is from Huntington Beach, California. She is currently a third-year Marketing major with a psychology minor at the University of Utah. She is excited to be a student staff member this year!

Maya is first year student staff at the center. She is majoring in sociology and minoring in Spanish, with hope of attending law school after her bachelor’s. Maya joined the MCVP because she is passionate about learning and sharing her ideas to make a meaningful difference in her community. She enjoys snowboarding, running, reading, writing, and travel. Her biggest bucket list item is to visit every continent, and so far she has been to four! Maya hopes to always continue learning and sharing through school, travel, and her work at the MCVP.

Meadow is a first year student at the University of Utah majoring in English and World Languages & Cultures. She is also pursuing minors in English and Spanish. Meadow is passionate about creating a more caring environment especially through her work at the MCVP. In her free time, she loves figure skating, reading, writing, and knitting.

Savannah is a third year student at the U and a third-year Graphic Design student minoring in photography. She is passionate about social justice and loves working at the MCVP. In her free time, Savannah loves to play guitar, crochet, and spend time with her friends.

Santino is a second-year student at the University of Utah studying economics and communications. He is enjoying his work at the MCVP and hopes to take what he learned in his future career in law. During his free time, Santino usually avoids time on campus as much as he can to explore the gift of the outdoors.

Summer is a first-year student at the U completing her nursing prerequisites and a minor in Psychology. She first became involved with the MCVP through her work on the Student Ambassador Board for Ending Relationship Violence (SABER), where she learned about primary prevention work. In her free time, she loves trying new recipes, hiking, and walking her dogs Remy and Luna.
